The land reclamation for No. 2 spoil area of Water Diversion Project from the Yangtze River to the Huaihe River, undertaken by ACEG and covering total area of 377.9 hectares, includes land levelling, irrigation and water conservancy, field road, farmland protection, soil and water conservation and ecological environment protection.
Small and scattered lands will be integrated into massive high-standard farmlands through reclamation, which will increase the arable land area and land conditions. The project will effectively promote land restoration, improve ecological environment in the surrounding area, activate the existing construction land, optimize the land structure and layout, creating beautiful landscape along the Huaihe River.
