The main bridge of Chuhe Super Bridge under reconstruction and extension on Hefei - Nanjing Expressway closed successfully on April 12 in eastern China’s Anhui province. It was such an influential event that Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily Online, Anhui Daily and other national and provincial media have reported and reprinted it with the related webpages viewed more than 600,000 times so far.
The reconstruction and extension project of Chuhe Super Bridge contracted to build by ACEG Road and Bridge Engineering Company Limited, a subsidiary of ACEG, locates at the boundary between Jiangsu province and Anhui province and it is thought not only to be the “l(fā)ast-kilometer” of the Hefei - Nanjing Expressway project but a key traffic node in the “Regional integrated development plan for the Yangtze River Delta”.
After the full completion of the Chuhe Super Bridge, Hefei - Nanjing Expressway upgraded from four lanes to eight lanes，will be open to traffic.
